John is a 2000 graduate of the St. Louis University School of Law. Following law school, John clerked for the Honorable Paul J. Simon at the Missouri Court of Appeals, Eastern District.
After a year with Judge Simon, John entered the private practice of law with what is now The Gunn Law Firm, P.C. He practices primarily in the areas of estate planning; probate administration; income and estate tax; trust administration; and probate and trust litigation.
John is active with the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis where he serves on the Board Governors and on the BAMSL YLD Executive Committee as its liaison with The Missouri Bar. John is also active with The Lawyers Association of St. Louis as a member of its Executive Committee. Outside of his bar work, John serves as a volunteer recruiter and coordinator for Peter and Paul Community Services in St. Louis.
John and his wife Monica live in St. Louis County with their daughter, Nora.
