Michelle M. Funkenbusch
Michelle M. Funkenbusch owns her own law firm, Funkenbusch Law Firm, L.L.C. Litigating for the last eight years, she has experience in a wide variety of areas including transportation law, real estate litigation, products and premises liability, and professional malpractice. In 1995, Funkenbusch earned her B.A, cum laude, from Truman State University and, in 1999, earned her J.D. from Saint Louis University.
She is currently the Missouri Bar YLS Chairperson of the Promotional/Marketing Task Force and is Co-Chairperson of the Annual Meeting Committee of The Missouri Bar. Funkenbusch has been a regular volunteer for the Law Day Picture Contest, Read Across America, We the People. . . The Citizens and the Constitution program, and is a member of Friends of Habitat for Humanity. In BAMSL, Funkenbusch served as Vice-Chair of the Trial Committee and was a Teen "Speak Out" Coach for East St. Louis High School. She has spent hundreds of hours as a volunteer judge for the Missouri High School Mock Trial Competition, the Intercollegiate Mock Trial Tournament, and previously as an assistant to the St. Louis University Law School National Trial Team. She is an active member of the Defense Research Institute: Products Liability, Professionalism & Ethics, and Trial Tactics Committees and recently authored a chapter in a DRI Compendium on Spoliation of Evidence. Funkenbusch is currently serving on the Executive Committee of the Lawyer's Association of St. Louis, the local trial bar.
She is most well known for her humorous side, as seen in the Lawyer's Association Gridiron Show in which she has been a chorus member and contributor for the last five years.
