The Division of Workers’ Compensation welcomes its newest court reporter members, Karen Rottman and Kathy Rethemeyer. We wish them luck in their new positions!

Karen Rottmann started out as the receptionist at Workers’ Compensation in March 2003. While working full-time, she attended and completed court reporting school and graduated in September. She has now been promoted to court reporter with the Division of Workers’ Compensation. She has been married to Dave for 8 years and has a puppy named Emma that has her wrapped around her paw.

Kathy Rethemeyer is a new employee as of September 1, 2005. She met her husband of three years, Dan, at a high school reunion. Previously, she worked as a freelance court reporter, filling in at the circuit courts in St. Louis and St. Charles since 1999. Kathy has one son, Blake, and one step-daughter, Elaina, both 19. Blake lives in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and is doing lawn maintenance and applying for college in January. Elaina started her first year of college at Jefferson Community College last semester.
