Spotlight on DWC Support Staff:
Stephanie Bernskoetter
Jefferson City Office – Fourth in the Series
by Nasreen Esmail

Situated in the Division of Workers’ Compensation Jefferson
City Legal Section―responding to calls from various stakeholders and juggling
responsibilities entrusted upon her―is petite and perky Stephanie Bernskoetter.
Stephanie possesses the patience, common sense, drive for success and ability to
learn that makes her a valuable Division employee.
Stephanie has been with the Division since 1997 and assumed
her position with the Legal Section in April 2001. Her official title is
Administrative Office Support Assistant. Most of you may have already spoken
with Stephanie by telephone as she performs the most enjoyable task of dealing
with the subpoenas and child support liens.
Stephanie and her husband Terry and three children, Ashton,
Colin and Caleb, reside in Eugene, Missouri and she would not dream of leaving
this provincial town. She has been zealously driving to Jefferson City daily to
serve the needs of the customers notwithstanding the hike in gas prices.
Stephanie states that when she grows up she will be a paralegal and eventually
be employed in a silk-stocking law firm raking in the high dollars.
I have known Stephanie for several years and truly enjoy
having her with me in the legal section. She is friendly, hard working and
coordinates with the Division staff in the various Division adjudication
offices. Chief Administrative Law Judge Hannelore Fischer speaking for herself
and on behalf of the Jefferson City Adjudication office had the following
remarks about Stephanie: “Stephanie is the bright face of the legal section. We
suspect that Stephanie keeps the legal section of the Division’s central office
running like the well-oiled machine that it is. Stephanie’s great working
relationship with Nasreen means that even when Nasreen is not available, a quick
call to Stephanie often results in the matter at hand being taken care of
expeditiously and appropriately.”
Today the Division applauds Stephanie for her dedication
and service.
