IMPORTANT TRAVEL NOTE: Bridge Work on Hwy 54 for Those Entering Jefferson City from the North

For those of you who will be coming in to Jefferson City on Highway 54 southbound, please note that MODOT is doing work on the bridge crossing the Missouri River. They are working on one side of the bridge, reducing the number of lanes both north and southbound from three to two. As a result, traffic delays are occurring, so you will want to give yourself some additional time to accommodate this situation.

Preregistration is now closed, but you do not need to register in advance to attend and you are welcome to sign-in at the on-site registration. There is never a charge to attend the meetings.

Meetings Offer Rewarding Combination of Committee Work, Free CLE and Social/Network Opportunities

Large CLE PresentationA rewarding combination of committee work, substantive educational programming and social opportunities, the meetings of The Missouri Bar’s many committees form the basis of most bar activities. Through attendance and participation in committee activities, Missouri Bar members make a meaningful contribution to the betterment of the legal profession and the public good.

Service on a Missouri Bar committee provides individual members of the bar with the chance to play a significant role in bar activities – especially the development of legislative proposals and the staging of timely educational programming. In addition, attendance at the Spring Committee Meetings is both personally and professionally rewarding, bringing together lawyers with common interests and concerns.

This gathering of state bar committees will take place May 6 at the Capitol Plaza Hotel in Jefferson City. It represents the final meeting of the 2015-2016 bar year for most committees, offering their memberships the opportunity to assess progress and map out plans for the remainder of the current bar year.
