Between the morning and afternoon time blocks, those attending the 2012 Spring Committee Meetings are invited to enjoy a complimentary luncheon. Frank Haith, University of Missouri-Columbia's basketball coach and AP Coach of the Year, will be the featured speaker.
A rewarding combination of committee work, substantive educational programming and social opportunities, the meetings of The Missouri Bar’s many committees form the basis of most bar activities. Through attendance and participation in committee activities, Missouri Bar members make a meaningful contribution to the betterment of the legal profession and the public good.
Service on a Missouri Bar committee provides individual members of the bar with the chance to play a significant role in bar activities – especially the development of legislative proposals and the staging of timely educational programming. In addition, attendance at the Spring Committee Meetings is both personally and professionally rewarding, bringing together lawyers with common interests and concerns.
This gathering of state bar committees will take place May 11 at the Capitol Plaza Hotel in Jefferson City. It represents the final meeting of the 2011-2012 bar year for most committees, offering their memberships the opportunity to assess progress and map out plans for the remainder of the current bar year.
Lawyers attending the Spring Committee Meetings are traditionally able to take advantage of several free educational programs - each carrying MCLE credit – offered by various state bar committees.
