Areas of law on which I am available to comment: Employment discrimination re: disability Access to services for people with disabilities Access to facilities for people with disabilities
I am qualified to comment on these areas because: I have been a leading spokesman in the community for the interests of people with disabilities. I have litigated numerous cases on the subject. I served on the board of Paraquad for more then 25 years. I presently do work for The Starkloff Disability Institute, a think tank which develops studies associated with the rights and needs of people with disabilities to be able to fully participate in the community
Article Idea: I would like to see various articles on why the general population ignores issues of people with disabilities, the extent to which society discriminates against people with disabilities, and the limits of the law in addressing these issues. One particular opportunity at the moment would be a good news piece about how the St. Louis Cardinals have gone beyond the bare minimums of the law to make their new stadium highly accessible for people with all kinds of disabilities.
