While families struggle to overcome their continued crises with the economy, there are a select few in Missouri attempting to manufacture a crisis concerning how our appellate judges and trial judges in certain circuits, including St. Louis and St. Louis County, are selected.
Jefferson City politics now mirror those of Washington, D.C. The word is that half a million dollars from unknown, out-of-state sources is being paid to a group of lobbyists assigned to make sure the Legislature passes one or more proposals that could change the way we select judges. No one has come forward and given credibility to the effort behind this move.
