Young Lawyers' Section Members Turn Out for Habitat for Humanity in KC

City (MO) -- Members of
On June 8, 2007, The Missouri Bar Young Lawyers’ Section took part in a day of
community service with Habitat for Humanity in Kansas City. Approximately 70
young attorneys and summer associates worked all over the Kansas City
Metropolitan area with Kansas City’s Habitat for Humanity, Kansas City’s Habitat
ReStore, Heartland’s Habitat ReStore in Kansas City, Kansas and Truman
Heritage’s Habitat for Humanity in Independence, Missouri.

“The
Young Lawyers’ Section is the service arm of the Bar,” stated Lauren Allen, a
Kansas City Representative of The Missouri Bar Young Lawyers’ Section Council. “Our purpose is to help young lawyers grow professionally and promote public
service. The overwhelming response to this project demonstrates the impact
young lawyers can have in their communities.”
