HB 52 – Insurance reimbursements. Allows an insurance policyholder to petition the court for
reimbursement of insurance costs as they occur during the pendency of a
dissolution of marriage or legal separation.
HB 90 – Intervention by insurers. Specifies that an insurer has the right to intervene in a
civil action in which it may be contractually obligated to pay the cost of
defending a civil lawsuit or a portion of any judgment that may rendered in
HB 308 – Homebirth services. Requires persons certified and providing homebirth services
to provide proof of malpractice insurance coverage of at least $1 million prior
to the provision of services. Failure to provide such proof is a class C
HB 260 – Use of credit information in underwriting. Changes the laws regarding the use of
credit information when underwriting insurance contracts and prohibits insurers
from taking adverse actions based on a person’s credit report or insurance
HB 322 – Electronic insurance cards. Allows the insurance identification card that contains
proof of insurance information for a motor vehicle and certain policies and
endorsements to be available electronically.
HB 338 – Insurance payments for diminished property. Requires an insurer to pay a claimant
for the total face value amount of an insurance policy for any total loss or damage
by any peril of covered property without claiming a diminished value of the
HB 339 – Damage limitations for uninsured motorists. Requires uninsured motorists to
forfeit recovery of noneconomic damages under certain circumstances. In
SB 473 – Health Care Freedom Act. Modifies Missouri Health Care Freedom Act by prohibiting
the state from implementing a health insurance exchange, prohibiting insurers
from accepting remuneration that may result in penalties, and prescribing duties
of the Attorney General for enforcement of the act.
