HB 1187 – TANF purchases. Requires all purchases made with Temporary Assistance for Needy Families benefits by a Missouri recipient to be limited to only in-state purchases.
HB 1406 – Credit scores. Changes the laws regarding the use of credit information when underwriting insurance contracts and prohibits insurers from taking adverse actions based on a person’s credit report or insurance score.
HB 1434 – Termination of water and sewer services. Changes the laws regarding the termination of water and sewer service due to delinquency of payment. Not in scope.
HB 1611/SB 670 – Nonjudicial foreclosure. Allows a debtor facing nonjudicial foreclosure of real estate under a power of sale to elect to participate in dispute resolution or convert to judicial foreclosure. Oppose the concept of mandated mediation.
HB 1882/SB 855 – TANF eligibility for immigrants.Modifies the eligibility requirements for food stamps assistance as it relates to ineligible immigrants.
SB 474 – Photo ID for food stamp program.Requires the Department of Social Services to take steps to mandate the use of photo identification for the food stamp program.
SB 522 – Eligibility for food stamp program.Modifies the eligibility requirements for food stamp assistance.
SB 538 – Kosher foods under WIC. Requires,subject to appropriations, an expansion of the variety of kosher foods approved under the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Special Supplemental Food Program.
SB 753 – Eligibility for energy efficiency programs. Modifies eligibility criteria for energy efficiency incentive programs offered by electric companiesto low-income customers.
