HB 1127 – Closed records. Requires certain specified crime scene photographs and video recordings to be considered closed records and not subject to disclosure under the Open Meetings and Records Law. Not in scope.
SB 477/SB 606 – Do Not Call list. Modifies the state do-not-call list by allowing cell phone numbers on the list and banning certain automated calls.
SB 484 – Do Not Call list. Modifies the state do-not-call list and creates “paid for by” requirements for political phone calls.
SB 594 – Do Not Call list. Modifies the state do-not-call list by allowing cell phone numbers on the list.
SB 764 – Sunshine Law. Modifies provisions regarding the Sunshine Law. Among other provisions, defines“public body” to include some quasi-public governmental bodies as well as any Missouri high school athletic association that receives public funds; modifies the definition of “public record” to include any lease, sublease or similar instrument, or any other agreement for rental, construction or renovation entered into by a public body; changes the requirement for notice of a public meeting from 24 to48 hours, except for the Missouri General Assembly; states that if a public body closes a meeting, only members of the body, their attorney and staff assistants, and any person necessary to provide information shall be permitted in the meeting.
