HB 41 – Amber and Silver Alerts. (See Criminal Law)
HB 279 – Homestead bankruptcy exemption.
Increases, from $15,000 to $125,000, the amount of equity in a
homestead that can be exempt from attachment in a bankruptcy proceeding
when the person is 62 years of age or older.
HB 626 – Senior Citizens Protection Act. Establishes
the Senior Citizens Protection Act which exempts from attachment or
execution the primary residence of a person 62 years of age or older,
who is retired or may retire, from any forced sale.
