This gathering of state bar committees will take place Nov. 18, 2016 at the Capitol Plaza Hotel in Jefferson City and marks the first meeting of the 2016-2017 bar year for most committees.
Meetings of the Missouri Bar’s various committees are the backbone of bar activities, resulting in the development of new programs and
initiatives designed to benefit both the legal profession and the citizens of Missouri. Lawyers attending the Fall Committee Meetings are traditionally able to take advantage of several free educational programs – each carrying MCLE credit – offered by various state bar committees. The Missouri Bar is taking initiatives to reduce our “carbon footprint” at this year’s Fall Committee Meetings by not printing materials for each CLE session. Instead, we are making all provided course materials available on the website and on the mobile app. We encourage you to download CLE materials before you arrive at the meeting.
Between the morning and afternoon time blocks, those attending the 2016 Fall Committee Meetings are invited to enjoy a complimentary luncheon. Bill Thompson, clerk of the Supreme Court of Missouri, will be the featured luncheon speaker. Mr. Thompson will be retiring at the end of the year after nearly four decades serving the Supreme Court, the bar and the justice system in Missouri.
If you arrive late and there is no parking available at the hotel, please park in the lot at the corner of Bolivar and McCarty, one block west of the hotel.
Preregistration is now closed, but you do not need to register in advance to attend and you are welcome to sign-in at the on-site registration.
