Meetings Offer Rewarding Combination of Committee Work and Social/Network Opportunities

Meetings of the Missouri Bar’s various committees are the backbone of bar activities, resulting in the development of new programs and initiatives designed to benefit both the legal profession and the citizens of Missouri.

SpeakerThis first meeting of the new bar year typically serves as an opportunity for committees to assess progress and map out plans for the bar year ahead. Through attendance and participation in committee activities, members of The Missouri Bar make an important contribution to the improvement of the legal profession and the public good.

Through service on a Missouri Bar committee, individual members of the bar have the opportunity to play a significant role in bar activities – including the development of legislative proposals and the staging of timely educational programs. In addition, active participation in the Fall Committee Meetings is both professionally and personally rewarding. Gatherings of bar committees, which bring together lawyers with common interests and concerns, are of direct practical benefit to the individual practitioner.

During the Fall Committee Meetings, most Missouri Bar committees will meet in either morning or afternoon time blocks on Friday, November 22. Some committees, however, may choose to conduct meetings of a longer duration or convene at other times.

Committees Offer Free Continuing Legal Education Programs

Lawyers attending the Fall Committee Meetings are traditionally able to take advantage of several free educational programs - each carrying MCLE credit – offered by various state bar committees.
