Board of Governors is Accepting Applications to Fill
One-Year Diversity Seat Vacancy on Board
The Missouri Bar Board of Governors is accepting applications to fill a one-year vacancy on the Board of Governors. That vacancy exists in the Western District diversity seat by virtue of Mira Mdivani’s election to the Board of Governors from the Kansas City district. Any member of The Missouri Bar who is in good standing and enrolled in the Western District Court of Appeals can apply and will be considered. Letters of application must be received at The Missouri Bar no later than November 5, 2012.
What should be included in the letter of application?
Applicants should provide a complete description of their qualifications to fill the diversity seat on the Board of Governors. Please describe your unique experience, knowledge and qualifications to represent diverse elements of the Bar, including, but not limited to, age, race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, geography and areas and types of practice.
Who is eligible to apply?
Any lawyer in good standing enrolled in any county in the Western District Court of Appeals can apply.
How will the selection process work?
All letters of application will be distributed to the full Board of Governors for review and consideration. The Board of Governors will consider applications at their meeting on November 16.
What is the duration of the term remaining?
The term for this appointment ends at The Missouri Bar Annual Meeting, September 20, 2013.
What is the application deadline?
Letters of application must be received at The Missouri Bar no later than Monday, November 5.
