Best Lawyers® “Best Law Firms” rankings are based on a rigorous evaluation process that includes the collection of client and lawyer evaluations, peer review from leading attorneys in their field, and review of additional information provided by law firms as part of the formal submission process. To be eligible for a ranking, a law firm must have at least one lawyer who is included in Best Lawyers as part of the annual peer review assessment. Achieving a high ranking is a special distinction that signals a unique combination of excellence and breadth of expertise.

HeplerBroom maintained its status as the highest ranking of a Tier 1 law firm in the St. Louis metropolitan area, while expanding its Tier 1 practice areas to include:  Criminal Defense - White-Collar, Litigation – Antitrust, Litigation – Eminent Domain & Condemnation, Mass Tort Litigation/Class Actions – Defendants, and Personal Injury Litigation – Defendants.  The firm also ranked highly as a Tier 2 firm in the S. Louis Metropolitan area in Antitrust Law, Commercial Law, Franchise Law, Litigation – Intellectual Property, Litigation – Securities, Professional Malpractice Law-Defendants. The U.S.News – Best Lawyers “Best Law Firms” rankings are based on the collection of client and lawyer evaluations, peer review from leading attorneys in their field, and review of additional information provided by law firms as part of the formal submission process, according to the organizations. All data were combined into an overall score for each firm. This data was then compared to other firms within the same metropolitan area and at the national level. Because firms were often separated by small or insignificant differences in overall score, the organizations use a tiering system rather than ranking law firms sequentially. HeplerBroom LLC traces its history to 1894 and has 89 attorneys in its offices located in St. Louis, Missouri and Springfield, Chicago and Edwardsville, Illinois.

HeplerBroom LLC is proud to announce that Glenn E. Davis, Jeffrey S. Hebrank, Larry E. Hepler, Theodore J. MacDonald, Jr., Thomas J. Magee, and Gerard T. Because Best Lawyers is based on an exhaustive peer-review survey in which more than 68,000 leading attorneys cast almost 4.3 million votes on the legal abilities of other lawyers in their practice areas, and because lawyers are not required or allowed to pay a fee to be listed, inclusion in Best Lawyers is considered a singular honor.
