Steve Scott
Mr. Scott holds three degrees from the University of Missouri-Columbia: a Bachelor of Journalism; a Master of Arts, Political Science; and a Juris Doctor (cum laude). Before and while attending law school, he worked as a reporter and editor. In law school he was a member of the Board of Editors of the Missouri Law Review and was inducted into the Order of the Coif. Mr. Scott has practiced law in Columbia since 1978, and in recent years focused his practice on landlord services. Prior to starting his solo firm in 1997, he was the managing shareholder of a six-lawyer firm. In addition to his service to the legal profession, Mr. Scott was a member of the Columbia Board of Education from 1985 to 1994, serving as its President from 1990-92. He has been active in several other community organizations, including church governing bodies and serving as president of the Rotary Club of Columbia.
