Recognizing Outstanding Leadership and Dedication to MoBarCLE
William L. Hubbard
Through his numerous presentations at MoBarCLE seminars, William L. Hubbard has made outstanding contributions to the continuing legal education of Missouri attorneys. Over the last two decades, Mr. Hubbard has spoken at MoBarCLE programs and conferences regarding elder law and estate planning topics, including Medicare and Medicaid Planning, the interplay between personal injury settlements and government-provided health care payments, and planning and structuring payment for long-term care.
Mr. Hubbard earned his B.S. in business administration from Northwestern University and his J.D. from the University of Missouri School of Law, where he was a member of the Missouri Law Review. He is a partner with Hubbard & Kurtz, LLP, in Kansas City, with a practice focused in the areas of estate planning, probate, elder, and special needs law. Mr. Hubbard is certified as an Elder Law Attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation. He has been an active member of The Missouri Bar and worked on several of its committees, including the Probate Committee, the Tax Committee, and the Elder Law Committee, where he served a term as Chair and is currently a Council Member. Mr. Hubbard is also active with the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, where he was a founding member of the Council of Advanced Practitioners, President of Missouri Chapter from 2000-2001, and the Chapter’s Outstanding Elder Law Attorney for 2002-2003. He is also a member of the American Bar Association and the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, serving with that organization’s Probate & Estate Planning and Tax committees.
