Scott BethuneBy donating his time and talent for more than a decade, Scott S. Bethune has made outstanding contributions to the continuing legal education of Missouri attorneys in the areas of personal injury law and trial practice. Mr. Bethune has regularly presented at MoBarCLE programs, including How to Handle Car Crash Cases; A Primer on Auto Litigation; Handling Auto Accident Cases; Advanced Trial College; and Practical Evidence for Civil Litigators.

Mr. Bethune is a founding member of the law firm Davis, Bethune & Jones, LLC in Kansas City, where his practice is concentrated in the areas of products liability, railroad crossing litigation, automobile & tractor-trailer litigation, professional negligence, and mass tort litigation. He received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Tennessee-Martin in 1985, and his Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 1988. He is licensed to practice in the states of Missouri, Kansas and Tennessee. 
               
Mr. Bethune is listed in The Best Lawyers of America® in the personal injury litigation category. He has also been recognized in the Kansas City Business Journal as “Best of the Bar” by his peers and as a “Super Lawyer” by the Missouri/Kansas Super Lawyers Magazine. Mr. Bethune is a member of The American Board of Trial Advocates, where he currently serves as the President-Elect of the Western Missouri/Eastern Kansas Chapter. He also currently serves as a Commissioner on the 16th Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission serving Jackson County, Missouri; is an officer and member of the Executive Committee of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association; serves on the Executive Committee of the University of Missouri-Kansas City Law Foundation Board of Trustees; serves on the Board of Governors of the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys; is on the Board of Governors of the Kansas Association for Justice; is a member of the American Association for Justice; and is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum.
