Missouri Bar Announces Lucas Boling as New Membership Services Director

Lucas BolingMissouri Bar Executive Director Keith A. Birkes this week announced that Lucas Boling, Missouri Bar CLE Programs Attorney, has accepted the position of Membership Services Director, succeeding Linda Oligschlaeger. Oligschlaeger will be retiring at the end of the year after more than 20 years with The Missouri Bar.

Boling has been with the Bar since 2007 and during that time has gained extensive experience planning numerous CLE programs and events, including the annual Family Law Conference. In addition, he has participated in the planning and execution of the Solo and Small Firm Conference.

As a nationally recognized CLE planner, he recently served as co-chair of the ACLEA (an international association for continuing legal education) planning committee and, in this role, led the program planning for its recent annual conference. He has also served as a speaker at many of these and other conferences.

Further, prior to serving The Missouri Bar, Boling’s legal experience included several government attorney positions, including Deputy Director at the Missouri Division of Workers’ Compensation and Unit Chief of the Governmental Affairs Division with the AG’s office, as well as time spent in private practice at Brinker Doyen in Clayton following a judicial clerkship with Eastern District Court of Appeals Judge Stanley A. Grimm.

“Collectively, these experiences position Lucas to transition into his new role with significant expertise and knowledge of all facets of the membership director position, including the planning of the Solo and Small Firm Conference,” said Deputy Executive Director Sebrina Barrett, who will also transition to the Bar’s executive director position on January 1.

“In addition, Lucas' varied law-related experiences and firm grasp of technology will enable him to connect with the diverse membership of The Missouri Bar and provide a wide range of member resources and practice management tools,” Barrett continued.

Boling is expected to begin the transition process with current Membership Services Director Linda Oligschlaeger starting this fall.
