Supreme Court of Missouri Convenes for Investiture of Judge Paul C. Wilson
The Supreme Court of Missouri will convene at 1:30 p.m. Friday, April 19, 2013, to administer the oath of office as Supreme Court judge to the Honorable Paul C. Wilson. The investiture will be conducted in the En Banc Courtroom of the Supreme Court Building, 207 West High St., Jefferson City, Mo. More than 200 guests are expected to attend.
A Jefferson City native, Wilson clerked at the Supreme Court of Missouri and the 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals after graduating first in his class from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law. He has served as deputy chief of staff for litigation in the Missouri attorney general’s office, senior counsel in Missouri’s office of administration and as a circuit judge in Cole County. Wilson was in the private practice of law in Columbia when Gov. Jay Nixon appointed him to the Supreme Court in December 2012.
Please note that there will be no reserved public seating. Doors to the courtrooms are expected to open at 1 p.m. Seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, with overflow seating available in the Division II courtroom, where the proceedings may be observed via closed-circuit television.
