Supreme Court Approves Expansion of Board of Governors
Three New District Wide Members to Represent Diverse Elements of Bar
The Supreme Court of Missouri last week adopted changes to Rule 7, paving the way for the election of three new district wide members of The Missouri Bar Board of Governors in February 2008.
The Missouri Bar’s Board of Governors proposed the rule change to allow for the election of three additional members of The Missouri Bar who have unique experience and knowledge or who represent diverse elements of the bar within the State of Missouri, including but not limited to age, race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, geography and areas and types of practice. Smith, Jr. with its first Thompson/Evans Fee Dispute Resolution Award, recognizing his many years of commitment, dedication and service to the public and the bar through the fee dispute program.
