SCHOLARSHIPS

2017 MOSOLO SMALL FIRM CONFERENCE

 

All scholarship applicants must be licensed to practice law in Missouri.

Please refer to the description of each scholarship for information about the application process and deadline to apply.

MISSOURI BAR & MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIPS

A separate application is required for each scholarship. Those who apply by the deadline for the Bob Sigoloff Memorial, MoBarCLE, or MoBar Law Practice Management scholarship, but are not selected for a scholarship, may register by May 10, 2017 at the Best Value registration rate of $270.

 

> BOB SIGOLOFF MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

A memorial scholarship sponsored by an anonymous donor has been established in the name of Bob Sigoloff to be made available to a solo or small firm practitioner who would benefit from attending The Missouri Bar Solo & Small Firm Conference. Applicants must be attending this event for the first time and do no need to demonstrate financial need. The scholarship includes the registration fee with electronic course materials and hotel reservations for two nights during the event at Tan-Tar-A Resort.

Scholarship applications must be received by April 19, 2017. To apply submit a letter ATTN: Missy Stevens by email to scholarship@mobar.org or by mail to The Missouri Bar, P.O. Box 119, Jefferson City, MO 65102. The application letter should state the reasons why the applicant would benefit from attending the Solo & Small Firm Conference and whether the applicant has ever attended this event. All applications will be kept strictly confidential. The donor will determine the scholarship recipient who will be notified by May 5, 2017. 

 

> MOBARCLE SCHOLARSHIP

A conference scholarship is provided by The Missouri Bar’s CLE Programs Department -- MoBarCLE. The scholarship is available to a solo or small firm practitioner who would benefit from attending the Solo and Small Firm Conference. The scholarship recipient must demonstrate the inability to attend the conference without receiving financial assistance. The scholarship covers the conference registration fee with electronic course materials only. The scholarship does not cover lodging or any other travel expenses.

Scholarship applications must be received by April 19, 2017. To apply submit a letter ATTN: Missy Stevens by email to scholarship@mobar.org or by mail to The Missouri Bar, P.O. Box 119, Jefferson City, MO 65102. The application letter should state 1. specific details about your financial situation and the reason why you could not attend with financial assistance. 2. the number of MCLE hours acquired to date for this reporting year. 3. whether you have ever attended the Solo & Small Firm Conference; and 4. how you would benefit from attending this event. All applications will be kept strictly confidential.The recipient will be notified by May 5, 2017. 

 

> MOBAR LAW PRACTICE MANAGEMENT SCHOLARSHIP

A conference scholarship is provided through The Missouri Bar's Membership Services & Law Practice Management Department. The scholarship is available to a solo or small firm practitioner who would benefit from attending the Solo & Small Firm Conference. The scholarship recipient must demonstrate the inability to attend the conference without receiving financial assistance. The scholarship covers the conference registration fee with electronic course materials only. The scholarship does not cover lodging or any other travel expenses.

AWLF Scholarship applications are due 45 days before the date of the first day of the event for which the AWLF Scholarship is requested

 

> CLAY COUNTY BAR FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP
A conference scholarship is provided through the Clay County Bar Foundation. Applicants must reside in Clay County. The scholarship includes the registration fee with electronic course materials and a hotel reservation for two nights during the event at Tan-Tar-A Resort. Limited funds are available through the MoBarCLE Programs Department for those in need of financial assistance to attend the Solo & Small Firm Conference. If you are not able to attend without a registration fee waiver or a reduced registration fee, please submit a completed application available here: http://bit.ly/mobarclehardship The application deadline is May 9, 2017.
