Strategic Bankruptcy Planning: How to Avoid the Bankruptcy Crisis

This program will discuss basic pre-bankruptcy planning issues in both chapter 7 and chapter 13 cases. Specifically, what an attorney can advise the client regarding maximizing the assets a debtor can retain and related exemption planning, the timing of the filing to both protect the debtor’s assets and to minimize the debtor’s CMI, and means test issues following recent case law
developments.
