Steven B. Garner Strong-Garner-Bauer, P.C. Springfield Steve Garner has been a shareholder of Strong-Garner-Bauer, P.C. since 1990. Since joining the firm in 1986, Steve has tried personal injury, wrongful death, product liability, insurance bad faith, and commercial suits on behalf of injured parties and currently maintains an active trial practice in Greene County. Steve received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Baylor University in 1983. He graduated No. 1 in his class from the University of Arkansas School of Law in 1986. Steve has served the local bar and legal profession in various ways: 1) For 6 years, Steve served as one of the 3 elected lawyers on the Appellate Judicial Commission. This Commission selects the Appellate and Supreme Court judicial panels submitted to the governor; 2) He served as President of the SMBA for 2007 and has been on the SMBA Board of Directors and the Bar Foundation Board of Directors for a number of years; 3) He is currently on the Executive Committee of the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys and has served on the MATA Board of Governors for over 18 years; 4) Steve currently serves on the CASA Board of Directors. Steve’s honors and awards include: Number One Graduate, University of Arkansas Law School, 1986; Recipient, Oral Advocacy Award, 1986; Listed in Best Lawyers in America 2003 to present; Lon O. Hocker Award - Missouri Bar Foundation, 1996; in 2007, he was voted “Best Litigator” in the State, Missouri Lawyers Weekly; in 2008, he was voted “Best Lawyer To Call (in Missouri) If You Are In an Accident” and the #2 “Best Litigator” in the State, Missouri Lawyers Weekly. Steve also received the distinction by Best Lawyers in America: “Lawyer of the Year – Personal Injury Litigation, Plaintiffs, Springfield” in 2011 and 2012. Steve is married to his wife, Stacy, and they have two beautiful children, Morgan and Brett.
