Social Media for Lawyers and How to Get "Liked" by Potential Clients
Speaker: Bob Kirkland
Moderator: Rick Hein
Like it or not, we are surrounded by social media of various types. The twenty-somethings and thirty-somethings who participate in social media on a daily basis, will be the clients of our tomorrow, if not sooner. The purpose of this discussion is to examine how practicing attorneys might affirmatively utilize social media like Facebook, LinkedIn, or Twitter in our practices. Specifically, we will discuss using one or more of these forums to obtain new clients (marketing to attract), provide better service to our clients, decrease malpractice exposure through ongoing communications with our clients, and separate ourselves from other attorneys (marketing to win). If you have been hesitant to “friend” others on Facebook, or to “link” with others on LinkedIn, come learn what you may be missing.
