Peg (Margaret) McCartney was appointed as the St. Louis County Traffic Court Commissioner in 1999 where she has presided over hundreds of Department of Revenue Trial de Novo and Petition for Review cases for the last 13 years. Prior to her appointment she was the Director of Career Services at Washington University School of Law from 1996-1999. Commissioner McCartney was an Assistant Circuit Attorney in the City of St. Louis from 1990-1996. Specifically she was assigned to the sex crimes and child abuse unit from 1993-1996. An Indiana University of Law School graduate, Commissioner McCartney currently serves on the Board of Directors of St. Martha's Hall Shelter for abused women and children, Des Peres Hospital and the Larry Hughes Foundation. She also is a certified court appointed guardian ad litem in the City of St. Louis.
