Mr. Karl H. Timmerman immigrated from Germany in 1960. He became a citizen of the United States of America in 1965 and attended Capital University Seminary in Columbus, Ohio in 1966-1967. He was drafted in 1967. After an Honorable Discharge, Karl hitchhiked across the United States from 1970 to through 1973, winding up in Kansas City. He went back to school in August of 1974 and has an AAS from Penn Valley Community College, a B.A. and an M.A. in Psychology from the University of Missouri at Kansas City and he has earned a Juris Doctorate from U.M.K.C. School of Law in 1982.

He is the former Vice-Chairman of the Solo and Small Firm Committee of the Missouri Bar Association and is the recipient of a Distinguished Service Award, Awarded by the Missouri Bar Association Solo and Small Firm Committee in 2001. He is the recipient of the 2004 Distinguished Alumni Award, Awarded by the Missouri Community College Association.

Karl currently has two offices, one in Grandview, Missouri and his home office in Holden, Missouri. He is the author of the “Friday Night Ramblings”, (an on-line column posted every Friday Night to the Solo and Small Firm Internet Group, (and also posted on his Website and is currently writing a book, “The Puppy Shark Chronicles”, common mistakes made by young lawyers. Karl is a Court approved Family Conflict Mediator and Past Chairman of the Jackson County Mediation Advisory Committee.
