James Daher received his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Northeast Missouri State University, before it’s name was changed to Truman State University. He received his Juris Doctorate from the Washington University School of Law. Immediately upon passing the Bar fifteen years ago, he started his solo practice. For the past six years, Mr. Daher has focused his practice on consumer defense litigation, and has become one of Missouri’s authorities on the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. He has defended over two thousand consumers, and filed hundreds of FDCPA claims. He has taught classes on the FDCPA, and addressed this topic to the judges of Missouri at their annual judicial conference in 2011. He is a member of NACA, the National Association of Consumer Advocates, and wrote the NACA Amicus Brief to the Missouri Supreme Court for the FDCPA case of Royal Financial v. George. Most recently, he was one of the two attorneys who won the Missouri Supreme Court case of CACH v. Askew, in a unanimous 7-0 decision. He is also known for wearing shorts and flip-flops to call dockets.
