Mr. Clifford S. Brown received his B.S. with Honors from the University of Missouri-Columbia and his J.D. degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law. He is of counsel with the Springfield, Missouri, law firm of Carnahan, Evans, Cantwell & Brown, P.C. Mr. Brown is a member of the American Bar Association and The Missouri Bar and serves on the Probate and Trust Committee and the Taxation Committee. He currently serves as chairman of the Probate Law Subcommittee of the Probate and Trust Committee of the Missouri Bar. He is also a member of the Springfield Metropolitan Bar Association and Springfield Metropolitan Bar Foundation. In 1991, Mr. Brown was elected as a Fellow of The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and in 2003, he was appointed as a member of the Missouri Board of Law Examiners. Mr. Brown is an educator and speaker on behalf of The Missouri Bar, Springfield Metropolitan Bar Association, the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law and other organizations in providing continuing legal education to members of the legal profession. Mr. Brown is the co-author of the chapter on Trust Contests, published in the 2nd edition of Missouri Probate and Trust Law (MoBar CLE), the author of the chapter of Taxation, published in the 6th edition of Missouri Family Law (MoBar CLE). Presentations include speaking, participation in panel discussions and the preparation of course materials.
