Chris Wendelbo is a partner in BW Law Group, LLC. His practice has focused on environmental law, appellate law, litigation, real estate, and general corporate law.

Chris’ environmental experience includes advising and representing individuals, corporations and governmental entities on a broad range of environmental permitting, compliance, and policy issues, environmental litigation and cost recovery efforts. Chris also specializes in the remediation and redevelopment of brownfields and former federal facilities, including real estate transferred pursuant to the Base, Realignment and Closure (BRAC) Acts and properties managed under the Formerly Used Defense Sites (FUDS) Program.


Chris has significant experience in general business matters, as well as legal issues arising during real estate and corporate transactions. Additionally, he has handled general corporate law matters, including corporate governance, contract formation and review, commercial leases, risk management, and litigation. 



Before entering private practice, Chris served as an attorney in the United States Army Environmental Law Division as environmental counsel and on active duty with the United States Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps. As a Judge Advocate, he participated in the criminal prosecution and defense of personnel at courts-martial and earned significant appellate experience, representing the United States and United States Army in numerous criminal appellate proceedings.
