Kathy Foley

Kathy Hutcherson Foley has been the official court reporter in Division 9 of the Jackson County Circuit Court for nine years. For the six years prior, she served as a swing reporter, which provided her the opportunity to work with numerous Jackson County, visiting, and senior judges. Kathy began her court reporting career in 1990 as the owner of the freelance firm, Attorneys’ Reporting Service.

Currently, Kathy is a member of the Missouri Court Reporters Association. She serves as its Vice President and Co-Chair of the Legislative Committee. In Jackson County, she is a member of the Technology Committee and the Court Reporter Committee. Kathy also contributes to her profession on a state-wide basis by chairing the Court Reporter Focus Group of the Missouri Court Automation Committee, and serving on the Court Reporter Education Committee which is responsible for providing continuing education for reporters’ mandatory certification.

Kathy graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a B.S.H.E. and a minor in management. She was also a member of the Alpha Gamma Delta sorority. Kathy is an active member serving in many capacities with her church, Antioch Bible Baptist in Kansas City.
