You-Jin is an Assistant Attorney General in the Governmental Affairs Division, where she primarily handles professional licensing and Sunshine Law matters. Before joining the AGO, she served as the Jack Nelson Legal Fellow with The Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press, a non-profit legal organization in Arlington, Virginia, that advocates for news media interests. There, she specialized in federal and state open records/meetings laws, privacy laws, and intellectual property issues. You-Jin obtained her Bachelor of Journalism in TV/Radio News from the University of Missouri, then taught high school literature and journalism for two years through Teach for America. She subsequently obtained her J.D. from Emory University, where she served on the executive boards of the Emory International Law Review, the Asian-American Law Student Association, and the Emory Graduate Student Government Association. She also interned for the Vice President of Legal Affairs for Fox Televisions Stations, Inc., working on media and intellectual property law matters and earned the Emory Law Dean's Award for Academic Achievement in Internet Law.
