Denise J. Talbert

Denise TalbertDenise chairs SHB’s eDiscovery, Data & Document Management Practice (eD3) and is a partner in the Global Product Liability Group and Business Records Management & Consultation Practice. She has over 16 years of experience in cost-effective discovery management in complex litigation, including the preservation, collection, organization, review, and production of documents.

Denise works closely with clients to formulate efficient and effective approaches for meeting discovery obligations and navigating technological innovations. She has represented business interests in the chemical, communications, insurance, pharmaceutical, retail, tobacco, and transportation industries.

Denise has published materials on eDiscovery law and routinely offers CLE presentations on this topic. She is a member of The Sedona Conference Working Group on Electronic Document Retention and Production and Merrill Corporation’s Strategic Advisory Board for Electronic Data Discovery (EDD), and has been appointed to the LexisNexis Advisory Board. She is also a faculty member at Bryan University, where she teaches eDiscovery classes, and currently serves on the eDiscovery Advisory Council for the university's post-graduate online program on eDiscovery Project Management.

Denise is currently a member of SHB’s Associates Committee and is the former co-chair of the firm’s Mentoring Task Force. Denise was also the recipient in 2003 of the firm’s first Sylvan Siegler Award for Excellence in Mentoring.

Denise is admitted to practice before the state courts of Missouri.
