Benefits for Committee/Section Chairs Using This Site

This webpage is designed to be a committee/section chairs' one-stop location to manage and develop the Spring and Fall Committee Meetings online...all via email! Bookmark this site and use it to: 

  • keep abreast of important meeting organizational dates
  • conveniently complete the forms needed to schedule your meeting
  • submit your meeting agenda
  • apply for and obtain CLE accreditation for your programs
  • submit presentation handouts for copying and request AV 

Once you submit this information, The Missouri Bar can begin publicizing your meeting and CLE program to members of your committee, helping to support strong attendance and involvement.

Key Dates/Task Checklist/Links to Forms

For the March 6, 2015 Spring Committee Meetings, you'll want to keep three key dates in mind:

January 23
February 2
February 23

  • Confirm Your Meeting. (RSVP by January 23.)
    Complete the RSVP form to let us know if you will be meeting, so we can schedule meeting space appropriately– click here(View Best Practice Tips for Joint Committee Meetings.)
     
  • Submit MCLE Credit Approval Form. (Please complete this process before February 2.)
    Complete the necessary form to get MCLE credit approval for an educational program – click here. When thinking about your meeting, consider whether your members would benefit from a joint meeting with another committee.  (View Best Practice Tips for Developing Your CLE.)
     
  • Submit Your Agenda (if you want it included in mailed promotional brochure, please submit agenda no later than February 2).
    Electronically submit your meeting agenda so it can be sent to your committee and published in Spring Committee Meeting print promotional materials – click here. (View Best Practice Tips on Developing Your Agenda.)
     
  • Send a Save the Date Listserve Message to Committee (suggest sending by February 2).
    Access and send a message to your committee using its listserve to encourage your committee members to attend – click here. (View Best Practice Tips on Sending to Your Listserve.)

  • Order AV Equipment/Submit Handouts for Copying (no later than February 23).
    To ensure that you have AV and presentation handouts for your meeting, please use this form to arrange for any audio/visual equipment and/or submit handouts for your meeting – click here.
     
  • Submit Your Meeting Minutes. (Due April 3 for March 6, 2015 Committee Meetings.)
    Complete and submit your meeting minutes to the Bar – click here.

Do You Want to Quickly and Easily Access the Names of Lawyers on Your Committee?

Committee Chairs can quickly and easily access the names and contact information for everyone on their committee by clicking on the link below. You will be asked to log in to the members section of The Missouri Bar website (use your bar number and password). Once logged in, your committee roster will appear automatically.
