HB 1028 – County financial statements. Changes certain provisions relating to county financial statements.

HB 1063 – Property assessments. (See Property Law)

HB 1070 – Eminent domain. (See Eminent domain)

HB 1119 – Solicitations of charitable contributions. Requires municipal and county employees or agents to request authorization to solicit charitable contributions in a road at stop lights or signs. Requires applicant to furnish proof of liability insurance in the amount of at least one million dollars to cover damages that may arise during the allowed solicitation. Provides that authorizing solicitation is not considered a waiver of immunity; authorization is considered a governmental function of the governing body.

HB 1120 – Workers’ compensation. (See Workers’ Compensation)

HB 1134 – Excess revenue from moving traffic violations. Revises the amount of excess revenues generated by fines for moving traffic violations that municipalities must send to the Department of Revenue.

HB 1148 – Strategic litigation against public participation (SLAPP). (See Judicial Administration)

HB 1154 – Copy fees for certain public records. Waives the fee imposed for the copying of certain public records including those required to be kept by sunshine law.

HB 1167 – Sunshine Law. Changes the standard for violation of the Sunshine Law by a governmental body from knowingly to negligently.

HB 1193 – Eminent domain reimbursement. (See Eminent Domain Law)

HB 1209 – Posting of required notices via Internet. Requires the Office of Information Technology within the Office of administration to establish and maintain an Internet web site by January 1, 2007, for the posting by any political subdivision of all public notices required by law. Notices may also be published in the manner otherwise prescribed by law.

HB 1341 – Strategic litigation against public participation (SLAPP). (See Judicial Administration)

HB 1353 – Redefines public entities for sovereign immunity. (See Tort Law)

HB 1533 – Eminent domain. Prohibits commencement of condemnation proceedings and tax abatement grants prior to January 1, 2007.

HJR 30 – Restricts power of eminent domain. (See Eminent Domain Law)

HJR 34 – Decreases number of representative districts. Proposes a constitutional amendment decreasing the number of members of the Missouri House of Representatives from 163 to 137.

SB 559 – Definition of person as it applies to joint municipal utility commission. Changes the definition of a “person” as it applies to joint municipal utility commission to include any municipality or other municipal corporation, governmental unit, or public corporation created under the laws of any state or the United States, and any person, board, or other body declared by the laws of any state or the United States to be a department, agency or instrumentality thereof.

SB 560 – Eminent domain. (See Eminent Domain Law)

SB 661 – Voting. Repeals the ability to vote a straight party ticket.

SB 672 - Tax increment financing law. (See Taxation Law)

SB 719 – Prohibits photo radar. (See Criminal Law)

SB 730 – Voter identification. Requires voters to provide photographic identification.

SB 731 – Fire arms. Eliminates the requirement that circuit court marshals or anyone else obtain a concealable firearm permit before acquiring a handgun.

SB 746 - Election of aldermen. Allows fourth class cities to establish by ordinance a citywide vote for the election of aldermen

SB 832 - Modifies Missouri’s tax increment financing law. (See Eminent Domain Law)

SB 856 – Advance voting system for elections. Creates a system to allow voters to cast advance ballots at central voting locations and satellite sites.
