Comments on Proposed Changes to Lawyer Advertising Rule
The Missouri Bar Special Committee on Lawyer Advertising solicited input from the bar on a number of possible changes to the Rules of Professional Conduct related to lawyer advertising, as well as the possibility of establishing a Bar Committee to monitor compliance with the advertising rules. The committee wanted to hear comments from members of the bar before a final recommendation is developed and submitted to the Board of Governors for review, consideration and possible action.
The committee endorsed all of the changes suggested in the draft rules except the committee did not take a position for or against the suggested revision to Rule 4-7.2(j). Comments were accepted until December 1.
