Dee Joyce-Hayes

Joyce-Hayes, DeeSince November, 2008, Ms. Joyce-Hayes has been General Counsel for The Bi-State Development Agency (known as “Metro”). Metro is an interstate compact agency authorized by Congress in 1949. Among the powers assigned to it, Metro is authorized to operate a public transportation system in four counties in Missouri and two in Illinois. The Agency currently operates the bus and light rail system that connects St. Louis City, St. Louis County, and St. Clair and Madison counties in Illinois.

From July 2002 to November 2008 Ms. Joyce-Hayes was Of Counsel with Sonnenschein, Nath and Rosenthal (now SNR Denton US LLP). Prior to that, Ms. Joyce-Hayes worked for 12 years as an Assistant Circuit Attorney in the City of St. Louis, and then served the City for 8 years as the elected Circuit Attorney (known in other Missouri counties as the Prosecuting Attorney).

Ms. Joyce-Hayes received her law degree from St. Louis University and her undergraduate degree from the College of William & Mary in Virginia.
