Daniel J. Gralike

Gralike, DanielDan Gralike graduated from St. Louis University School of Law in 1983. That year he joined the public defender system as a lawyer in St. Louis County. In 1991, he joined the capital division and later became district defender for the central capital division in Columbia, Missouri. In 1994, Dan was named deputy director of the state public defender system and has maintained that position for the past 18 years. During his career as a public defender he has had over 75 jury trials, including 29 death qualified capital jury trials. Dan served 2 terms as Chairman of the Missouri Bar Criminal Law Committee, and also served for 10 years on the Supreme Court’s Committee on Criminal Practice and Criminal Jury Instructions.
