"Best of Missouri" Reception

Always one of the most enjoyable events of the Annual Meeting, the "Best of Missouri" Reception provides another great opportunity for casual interaction, where attendees can enjoy the company of lawyers and judges from throughout Missouri at one of St. Louis’ most interesting locations.

This year’s setting – the Peabody Opera House – more than upholds that tradition. Originally opened in 1934, the Peabody Opera House stage has welcomed some of entertainment’s greatest performers, including Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles, Bob Dylan and the Rolling Stones. Following a $78.7 million restoration effort, this historical gem has been restored to its original splendor and undergone state-of-the-art upgrades.

Delicious culinary delights, open bars and the products of several of Missouri’s many outstanding wineries will be available to attendees at this event.  The relaxed atmosphere provides an easy setting to strike up the light, enjoyable conversations with colleagues that cultivate camaraderie and lasting professional ties.

And those attending this year’s gathering will also have the opportunity to raise a glass in a special toast for Keith Birkes, The Missouri Bar’s legendary executive director, who will retire at the end of the year.
