Missouri Bar 2013-14 Board of Governors Elects Officers
Kansas City Attorney P. John Brady Elected Missouri Bar President
COLUMBIA, MO – P. John (Jack) Brady of Kansas City today was elected president of The Missouri Bar for 2013-2014. The election took place during the 132nd Annual Meeting of The Missouri Bar held September 18-20 at the Holiday Inn Executive Center in Columbia. Brady succeeds Patrick B. Starke of Blue Springs as president of the 30,000-member organization.
Brady, a shareholder in the Kansas City office of Polsinelli P.C., has been a member of the Board of Governors of The Missouri Bar since 2002. He earned his law degree from Creighton University.
Reuben Shelton, senior litigation counsel for Monsanto Corporation in St. Louis, is the new president-elect of The Missouri Bar. He received his legal education at Saint Louis University School of Law and has been a member of the Board of Governors since 2008.
The new vice president of The Missouri Bar is Erik Bergmanis, managing member of the Bergmanis Law Firm, L.L.C. in Camdenton. A graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law, he has been a member of the Board of Governors since 1999.
Newly-elected representatives from the three districts of the Missouri Court of Appeals are: J.B. Lasater, Thomas Bender and Wendy Garrison. They, along with the officers and the Immediate Past President, comprise The Missouri Bar’s Executive Committee for the coming year.
