Mission Statement of ADR Committee
- To consider and advise the Board of Governors on the development of all appropriate alternative dispute resolution possibilities which will improve the administration of justice in Missouri.
- To provide educational opportunities for bar committees, judges, ADR providers, advocates, the public and others on ADR issues.
- To represent and provide a forum for the views and concerns of all lawyers and others involved in alternative dispute resolution.
- To take all other actions consistent with improving the quality of alternative dispute resolution in Missouri.
ADR Brochure
The Missouri Bar has published a public information brochure entitled Dispute Resolution Alternatives: What You Need to Know. The brochure identifies the forms of ADR authorized by Missouri Supreme Court Rule 17 and answers common questions about ADR. The brochure is useful in assisting counsel advising clients about ADR options.
Dispute Resolution Neutrals List
The Missouri Bar maintains a list of dispute resolution neutrals meeting the training or equivalent experience requirements in conducting dispute resolution procedures established by the Missouri Supreme Court. The list, revised and updated periodically, is available to the public by contacting the Director of Programs at The Missouri Bar. Individuals or organizations interested in becoming providers of dispute resolution services may obtain an application from The Missouri Bar. No charge is made for this service.
