HB 1342 – Conservator investments. Allows a conservator to invest money from an estate in real or personal property unless the court makes a finding on the record that the investment is not reasonable and prudent. Requires the investment advisor retained by the conservator to acknowledge in writing that he or she is acting as a fiduciary and the account will be managed as a fiduciary account.

HB 1617 – Fiduciary obligations. Allows a bank, trust company, savings and loan association, or a savings bank to transfer by assignment some or all of its fiduciary obligations consisting of irrevocable life insurance trusts to the Missouri Trust Office of a non-Missouri national bank or trust company.

SB 745 – Guardianship of minors and incapacitated adults. Provides that a custodial parent may designate a person to act as a standby guardian of their minor child or incapacitated adult child by a will or by a separate written instrument. Sets forward procedures for the appointment of a standby guardian.
