HB 1666 (See also HB 1842) – Missouri Global Warming Solutions Act of 2008. Establishes the Missouri Global Warming Solutions Act of 2008 to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. Requires the Missouri Air Conservations Commission to establish mandatory emissions limits by January 1, 2013. The regulations must become operative by January 1, 2014. The plan and the mandatory requirements must take into account several factors including cost effectiveness and technological feasibility.

Specifies that an individual violating the commission’s administrative rules will be guilty of a Class A misdemeanor.

SB 919 – Transportation of radioactive waste. Provides that shipping entities be assessed a fee for any such waste transported through or within the state. Specifies certain exemptions.
