Annual Law-Related Education Conference


Each school year The Missouri Bar, through funding from The Missouri Bar Foundation, sponsors a one-day conference for teachers on a relevant law-related education topic. Past conferences have focused on the law and civil rights, how the courts work, using Supreme Court cases in the courtroom, the anniversaries of landmark court cases and research on civic education.

If you are a third through eighth grade teacher in Missouri, you are invited to a one day conference related to the legal, ethical, and social issues of teaching and learning in a digital environment. The Missouri Bar is proud to sponsor this event in collaboration with the eMINTS National Center and the University of Missouri-Columbia.

**There is no charge for the conference and breakfast and lunch are provided. **

Keynote Speaker - David Warlick is a 30 year educator who has been a classroom teacher, district administrator, and staff consultant with the North Carolina State Department of Public Instruction. For the past ten years, Mr. Warlick has operated The Landmark Project, a consulting and innovations firm in Raleigh, North Carolina. His web site, Landmarks for Schools, serves more than a half-million visits a day with some of the most popular teacher tools available on the Net.
